Our focus is on two distinct markets that are associated with emerging markets such as South Africa.
These markets are:

  • The lower income market with growing income
  • The growing middle income market

A high growth market opportunity

The industry has seen a phenomenal growth in the sale of processed meats targeted at the income groups as listed above.  Over the comparative periods 2006 to 2007 this growth was measured as being 96.2%.

Future growth in these market segments is being forecasted to be at least between 45 and 50%. (source Mike Critien, Crown National).
