Best Cut was originated in Northern KwaZulu Natal by the Steenkamp family who, since 1949, have made consistent contributions through experience and passion to the success of the South African meat and catering industry.

Best Cut was built on determination, integrity and a tradition of quality, Best Cut’s prides itself not merely to manufacture and sell meat products, but to build long term loyal customer relations and to constantly innovate its line of value-added products.

Since it inception Best Cut has never failed to capture the taste buds of our clients, appealing to a wide market range. Best Cut is currently serving the hospitality and catering industry, government institutions, traders, wholesalers, retailers and shipping agents.

Best Cut Limited has listed on the JSE in January 2008, and is set to expand its successful regional business model from KwaZulu Natal to Gauteng, the Eastern Cape and then to the other provinces across South Africa.

Best Cut prides itself in its vertically integrated supply chain that spans from its abattoirs to food processing factories, whole sale operations and retail outlets.

We are proud of our extensive customer base that includes Checkers Hyper Stores, Shoprite, Boxer, CBW Holdings, Rhino Cash and Carry, Power Spar Group, Renckens Spar Group, and Jock Morison amongst many others.
